This is a great meal for little ones. The kielbasa can easily be chopped and there are no onion pieces to pick out (for picky eaters). The new Lock N Lock Bebe line is the perfect place setting for baby. Made of stainless steel warm foods stay warmer longer and cool foods stay cooler longer. (Although, this limits the use of the phrase,"hurry, before your supper gets cold.") See photo of our daughter using the Bebe stainless steel bowl to enjoy a pre-dinner snack.
Kielbasa Egg Sandwich Roll
Serves 6
1 pound smoked kielbasa, julienned
1 1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tube (10 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, sauté the sausage. In a large bowl, combine the sausage, cheese, two eggs, parsley, onion powder and garlic powder.
Unroll pizza dough; roll into a 12-in. x 8-in. rectangle. Spread sausage mixture down the center of dough. Bring dough over filling; pinch seams to seal.
Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet; tuck ends under. Beat remaining egg; brush over top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
