Grilled Tuna with Strawberry Mango Salsa

Snow flurries and frigid cold temperatures don't have to preclude you from enjoying grilled tuna steaks.  This recipe can be prepared in a grill pan on the stove.  Make sure you watch the tuna so it doesn't over cook.  It can go from raw to rubber in just a few seconds.

The strawberry mango salsa is fresh and zesty.  But it may be a bit too much for baby.  Mix some strawberry salsa with cooked quinoa and peach yogurt for a fruity finger food.  A great way to introduce more complicated flavors.

Grilled Tuna with Strawberry Mango Salsa
Serves 4

4 tuna steaks
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups coarsely chopped fresh strawberries
2/3 cup cubed mango
1/3 cup minced red onion
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon minced fresh mint
2 teaspoons olive oil

In a small bowl, combine the strawberries through 2 teaspoons olive oil.  Set aside.

Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper.  Place in a grill pan drizzled with 1 tablespoon olive oil.  Grill, uncovered over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes, turn.  Continue grilling for another 4 minutes.

Top tuna with strawberry mango salsa. Serve immediately.
