This year I wanted to try something other than "kit-dyed" eggs. I knew if the baby helped dye eggs, some of it would end up in her mouth. I needed something that I didn't have to worry if she consumed. This year we dyed the eggs with Kool-Aid!

Warm water
Place eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Make sure the tops of the eggs are covered by at least an inch of water. Bring the water to a full boil, uncovered, then remove the pot from the heat and cover it. Let stand untouched for 15 minutes. Rinse in cool water.

Store
eggs in the refrigerator until ready to color.
To prepare the dye, use 2/3
cup of warm water per Kool-Aid packet. Stir. No need to add vinegar. Pour mixtures into small bowls for coloring
eggs. Soak eggs for 2-4 minutes depending
on how vivid you want the colors.
