Slow Cooker Banana and Pecan Oatmeal


When I host the semi-annual scrapbook retreat, I like to prepare the Sunday morning breakfast for the guests.  Slow Cooker Banana and Pecan Oatmeal was perfect.  I started the slow cooker when I woke-up and it was done by the time everyone was up and milling around.  




Slow Cooker Banana and Pecan Oatmeal
Serves 8-10

6 cups skim milk
4 cups old fashioned oats
4 bananas, sliced
3/4 cup halved pecans
6 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Vanilla yogurt (optional)

In 4 quart or larger slow cooker, combine milk, oats, bananas, pecans, sugar, cinnamon and salt.

Cook on High for 1 1/2 hours. (Don’t peek!)  To serve, top with yogurt, berries, or milk.
